Reach out to Haiti is a non-profit organization that does humanitarian work in Haiti.

Founder Barbara Walker has been working in Haiti for 20+ years and has facilitated over 700 adoptions introducing literally helpless children to the best homes possible. Reach out to Haiti has also assisted Air Mobile Ministries with relief efforts throughout the world. Barbara operates Ruuska Village, a walled community in Bon Repos, which is a safe haven for single mothers and children fleeing unsafe environments.

Ruuska Village is also equipped with a medical clinic, supplies, a well, clean water and 24/7 power through generator/inverters. The village is surrounded with 12 foot concrete walls for security and also has a small garden area to grow food.

There are 16 single unit houses, a food supply depot, a supply depot, small school/church and a playground for the children. Reach out to Haiti has also been able to supply Haitian children and some Haitian adults with assistance with tuition for educational schooling. In addition, Reach Out To Haiti houses children in the adoption process in several other locations locally, and operates on both volunteer power, and also through hiring local mothers in an effort to introduce proper child-care practices.

While Reach Out To Haiti focuses primarily on facilitating adoptions, we are a faith-based organization and are committed to showing God’s love and in doing so we are active in providing assistance to Haiti’s extremely impoverished communities by distributing donations of:

  • Clothing ( for Haitian environment ONLY please )
  • Non-perishable food
  • Medical supplies
  • Medical assistance
  • School supplies
  • School uniforms
  • Books
  • A daily meal to school aged children of orphanages and poor families.
  • Baby care items

To name just a few. These efforts are made possible by the generous contributions and support from caring people from all over the world. Thank you for YOUR contribution to solving the problems not just of a nation, but of an individual child in need. No meal, pair of shoes, drink of water, vaccination, or moment spent caring is taken for granted.
